Software for Production Planning & Control
PRODUCTION PLANNING & CONTROL is a cloud-based software that keeps the production schedule up to date at all times. The solution was designed for the digital manual production planning and control of production orders of small and medium-sized contract manufacturers and product manufacturers with discrete production and assembly.
- Digital planning and control of machines, workstations & personnel
- Intuitive PPS software for digital production planning
- Simply replace EXCEL & paper in production planning and control
- Ready-to-use web applications
- Manufacturer-independent for all machines & workstations
- No maintenance costs & implementation costs
Highlights
React flexibly to short-term changes in plans
To remain competitive in the long term and improve the complex processes in production planning, manufacturing companies need a perfectly coordinated software solution to optimize production planning. The PRODUCTION PLANNING & CONTROL software consists of the two web applications PLANNING BOARD (PPS software) and PRODUCTION FEEDBACK (PDA software) for the direct connection of order planning and production. In this way, the modules enable the efficient production control through flexible resource planning. The aim is optimum capacity planning and throughput scheduling of production orders for optimum adherence to delivery dates and increased capacity utilization. The rentable software (Software as a Service) is suitable for the simple replacement of EXCEL or paper in production planning and does not have to be operated on your own server.
The solution includes:
- PLANNING BOARD: PPS software for digital manual production planning with assistance functions and direct connection to the PDC tool
- PRODUCTION FEEDBACK: PDC software for real-time production data acquisition and direct connection to the PPS software

FUNCTIONS
Adherence to delivery dadtes is one of the most important goals for manufacturing companies. This is where a fundamental function of the production planning software comes into play: the application enables flexible sequence planning. With the various assistance functions, PRODUCTION PLANNING & CONTROL can be corrected or gaps closed at the touch of a button, but important orders and processes can also be fixed or split if necessary.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Is PRODUCTION PLANNING & CONTROL only offered for DMG MORI machines?
It is a universally applicable software for production planning. PRODUCTION PLANNING & CONTROL is manufacturer-independent and can therefore be used for DMG MORI and other machines and workstations. It can be used with or without a machine connection.
How do I transfer my master data to the production planning software?
There are various ways to use the existing master data. Either via manual creation, a csv. -import or you can set up an interface to your ERP system.
Approximately how long does it take a medium-sized company to replace EXCEL or paper-based production planning?
The time it takes to introduce production planning software depends largely on the number of machines and workstations and how complete the required data is. Experience has shown that our customers need between 10 and 25 working days.
Is training necessary before the first application?
The PPS software PLANNING BOARD and the PDA software PRODUCTION FEEDBACK are self-explanatory. However, you will receive an initial remote training session of approx. 30 minutes. Most customers can then make full use of the PRODUCTION PLANNING & CONTROL production planning software.
The set-up itself is simple and takes 4 steps:
- login with the access data
- manual creation or import of master data, workstations, employees & articles
- configuration of the article routings
- create the production orders
What are the 9 advantages of PPS software?
The central tasks of production planning software include
- better products through compliance with high quality standards
- greater flexibility
- more transparency in production
- an increase in delivery reliability
- improved utilization of production capacities
- a reduction in throughput times
- the reduction of costs within production
- more effective use of resources
- the reduction of retooling and idle costs
Is the PDA software offered as part of the PRODUCTION PLANNING & CONTROL production planning software only for DMG MORI machines?
It is a universally applicable solution. PRODUCTION PLANNING & CONTROL is manufacturer-independent and can therefore be used for DMG MORI and other machines and workstations. It can be used with or without a machine connection.
How is the PDA feedback (PRODUCTION FEEDBACK) used on the machine?
A simple tablet, which is available at the machine or at the workstation, is sufficient for PRODUCTION FEEDBACK. The application is optimized for end devices with at least Full HD resolution. As of CELOS version 6, you can also use PRODUCTION FEEDBACK directly on the DMG MORI machine.
What data is recorded by PDA software?
In the case of actual data, a distinction is often made between organizational and technical operating data.
The organizational data of production data acquisition includes
- Order data (order status, production data, scheduling of production processes, personnel deployment, etc.)
- Personnel data (attendance, determination of performance, wage calculation, etc.)
- Technical operating data includes
- Machine data (machine downtimes and running times, quantities produced, material consumption, employee interventions, etc.)
- Process data (setting data, process parameters, quality characteristics, etc.)
- Material data (data on stocks, storage locations, reservations, etc.)
- Tool data (operating times, settings, maintenance, status, etc.)
What is the difference between BDE and MDE?
Machine data acquisition (MDA) primarily considers the available and required resources within production, while production data acquisition (PDA) records the entire operation.
What are the most important tasks of production data acquisition?
The central tasks of store floor data collection include
- Tracking orders
- Determining labor costs, employee times and production times
- Recording machine set-up times
- Measurement of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)
- Reporting and evaluation of malfunctions during operation
- Delivery of data for quality management
What are the 11 advantages of PDA software?
The central tasks of production data acquisition include
- All necessary ACTUAL data in real time
- Reliable and paperless planning and costing
- Greater adherence to deadlines
- More transparency across all work steps
- Leaner processes by simplifying complex workflows
- Reduce errors
- Recognize weak points at an early stage and avoid disruptions
- Precise control and cost accounting
- Maximization of machine utilization
- High product quality
- All information bundled in one PDA system
What needs to be considered when introducing PDA software?
If production data acquisition works, many other systems benefit from the actual data recorded. ERP, MES or PPS can optimize the processes in the company even better via an interface. There are a few important things to consider when introducing PDA software:
- Who is responsible for introducing the software?
- What resources are required?
- How big is the available budget?
- How compatible are existing programs?
- How will employee training be organized?
